Hey,
Am i right in thinking a sierra rear hub nut is 42mm? if so where the hell can i get somthing to do it up with?
Get a socket. I have one. Still haven't got the bleeding thing off yet though!
Yeh any good 3/4" socket set
if i recall its a 42mm socket, but if i also recall i have a 7-8ft extension pole with me hanging off the end of it to get it off, oh and the blow torch on it!
i have a socket i can post to you if you like
After many phone calls i think i have found 1 :-)
I went to halfrauds today and the biggest socket/spanner they had was 30mm which was crap didnt fancy buying one for just 2 nuts
I bought an impact grade (but only 1/2" IIRC) 42mm (is it 41 or 42mm?) socket for about £9 from local motor factors.
HTH,
James
I went way over the top and bought a huge 35 piece 3/4" socket set.
Only used it twice but it was worth every penny just to look at it

Just checked its 40mm across flats. Mine is anyway.
The socket sizeyou want is 41mm.

Got mine of the bay for £7 + the P+P iirc. Good socket too!
the motor factors up the road from me (the ones that supply to the trade)sell 'hub nut sockets' along with all the other special tools
I bought one on eBay for £11 a few weeks ago. It's 41mm and is definitely the right size.
