Sierra rack.

Anyone know the standard ratio/turns lock to lock of a sierra rack.
(Tried to search as I'm sure it's already on here but search engine confuses me. I can't get it to filter out stuff like track or bracket and steering+rack only finds two threads)

Last time i checked, mine was a little over 4 turns lock to lock.

Hope that helps,

James

Standard 4.2 turns lock to lock I believe. Common quick racks are about 2.8 L2L.

Thanks. Reason I'm asking is I have fitted Rally Design 2.8 quick innards (technical term) to mine and with Toyo 888's on the front wheels and a 12" steering wheel I'm finding the steering far to heavy in car parks or even pulling out of a junction. Nice on track but that's only about 2% of my driving.

4.2/2.8=1.5 times heavier. Could always find a steering wheel from a routemaster!

I'm trying to do the opposite

First off a smaller wheel 350mm to 300mm

Then a quick rack if needed

My wheel will be up for grabs if you are interested in a very large 1
