The locost I'm rebuilding currently has Ford RS 4 spoke alloys (13x6 ET19). I want to change the wheels but alot of those available have larger
offsets, and coupled with going to a 6.5" wheel the inner edge of the wheel may well move in ~20mm. Doesnt anyone know what ofthe standard
locost/sierra offset and wheel dimensions are?
What offset/wheel size are others using with escort mk 2 uprights and book wishbones? I don't mind moving the cycle wings if necessary.
Cheers
Hugh
Sierra wheels are ET38.
Cortina/Escoprt was ET19.
Around ET19 was more common on rear wheel drive cars. And the higher offsets are more common on FWD cars. The sierra being one of the odd ones out.
I am running ET35 on my GTS on cortina front uprights and sierra back end. No problems here...

I found this website when I had the same questions. Click on chapter 'wheels'.
It might have some useful info for you.
Peugeot wheels have ~ 20mm ofset but a bigger spigot.
7x15 ET24 on mine with 195/50/15 tyres, just clear the trailing arm mounting bolts on the chassis (and I mean just!)
Now de-dion but clearance was the same with live axle.
Peugeot wheels were my choice too, loads around at the right offset.
Mine are from a 405 Mi16, they look a bit like revolutions. These have an offset of 29, so 10mm spacers sorted that out
