Rear uprights brake bracket
Miks15 - 20/10/08 at 03:00 PM

Will i be ok to use 4mm thick plate for my rear brake bracket, Ive often seen people use much thicker stuff. All i have at the minute is 4mm plate. Will this be strong enough?

Also should the bleed nipple be facing up or down? And should the caliper be at the fron of the wheel or at the back?

Cheers

I THINK 4mm is a bit thin - I would use some 6mm plate as a minimum.

Bleed nipple should be at the highest point, to allow air to escape during the bleed process.

The caliper can be at either the front or the back, depends what the suspension was designed for and how the handbrake cable run looks. Either will work.
