Just had a nasty feeling I've dropped a bollock!
Could you confirm which way up my trailing Sierra callipers should go. I've got mine with the flexi hose exiting downwards but I've seen a
picture today (Bob's IIRC) with the flexi exiting upwards and I'm worried!
If it is wrong does it matter?

mine are drums, it goes down on those. hope the calipers are the same!
Sounds like the wrong way round, a mate put his front calipers wrong way round and they wouldn't blead out, so never worked. The blead nipple is usually at the top.

think on the mk you have to remove caliper to bleed it or pressure bleed it,doubt it will make a difference in operation tho
Trailing rear calipers + Luego hubs = banjo pipe fitting on the bottom + the need to remove or swing up the caliper to bleed.

hose and nipple on my granny calipers - likely same as sierra - face to top.
as conrod says, you have to take em off to bleed em, so you may as well take em off and swap em over

That'll teach me for wording the question badly.
Sorry- I meant front callipers! The guy at Brakes International today suggested that some Sierra's had callipers at the front (of the upright).
When I said trailing I was referring to them being behind the upright. Serves me right for trying to make things clear in the question!
Someone pass the pills- today has not gone well!

I've played around with them a bit more. (Callipers that is!)
The question has now morphed into:
Does is matter if I keep the front callipers the wrong way round from an operational sense?
I'm happy to remove them on the odd couple of times I'll need to bleed them so does it matter?
