Hi guys,
I am running 13" Compomotive CXRs on the rear with Sierra discbrakes. Just fitted the wheels properly and everything is fine...except for the wheel weights stuck to the inside of the rim, which touch the handbrake spring.
Did anyone else have this issue? What was your solution?
I am thinking of having another set of springs made by a professional that is maybe thicker spring, but less turns, so it would fit... but I might be missing the obvious...
I will also try to fiddle a bit with the caliper and the caliper holder to see if that solves something...

can't you just move the weights over a bit? or use clip on weights on the inside rim? I have some good quality Goodyear road/race tires and they never need any balance weights

just a thought, for years I never bothered with weights on the back wheels as usually you can't even feel the difference unlike the front wheels.

IICR, i goes well with MNRs' rear hub. maybe a small spacer could do the job (use one when i put crx rims on my mk indy)

I would take the wheels to a tyre fitter and have them rebalanced moving the weights sideways away from the area of the caliper. I doubt the weights would restick if you moved them yourself as the sticky part is usually left behind when they are removed.

got to be the easiest solution.

i got team dynamics 1.2 from mac1 13" and i took spring off un wound it 2 coils and bent a new end back on it in the vice using some pliers but be gental it will snap off allso had to bend down the lever the cable attached to there is only a few mm clerance on them though

fronts i had to cut the niple end off the bleed niple to get clerance
only prob now is ive reduced my turning circle due to the inned rim hitting the lower wishbone ? hope thats a help
