Sold as seen. Drive shafts still attached; not got around to trying to separate them from the flanges yet.

Sierra LSD
Sierra LSD

May be good, may need a complete rebuild. Honestly don't know. Sold to me as an LSD a number of years ago and believe it to be true but can't guarantee.

Best offer in the next 24 hours gets it. Keep tripping over the damned thing and want it gone...

An easy way to tell if its LSD is to turn the propshaft flange and if both driveshafts turn the same way then its LSD if the go in opposite directions its an open diff.

That's not quite right. Just try to turn the two half shafts against each other.

Or turn one driveshaft and the other should turn the same way if LSD never heard about turning the drive shafts against each other??

You need to fix/hold the prop flange, then turn 1 side, the other should then rotate the ssme way. If the other spins the other way then its open. Turning the prop will reveal nothing unless one side is loaded in someway. Turning one side without holding the prop still could also confuse the results.

Yes sorry you are correct I forgot the prop flange would have to be held as I have always checked them on the car in gear.
