hey people
My locost is now off the road for the cold months, and now need to do alot of fibra glass repairs to the bonnet which fly off when i was driving and
repairs to the wheel wing guard that just rattle apart.
I have been looking around on the net a load of different repair kit that i could get but before i spent money and timew jusat fort i woould ask you
guys what you would recommend??
cheers

Buy new panels
I'd recommend getting onto the CSF website and looking at the projects pages there, they give quite a few useful hints and tips re working with
fibre glass.
For most jobs you'll want some woven mat, some resin + catalyst and (if you need to repair the top coat) some flowcoat + gelcoat pigment to match
your gelcoat.
And lots of gloves and some stirers (I use tongue depressors cos I can get them cheapo!!).
one thing i would recomend is have a play with it first on nothing important.
nothing beats hands on practice/experiance
Don't buy from Halfords - this is an expensive way of doing things. The Locost option is to visit your local boat builders/industrial moulders, and see if they will do you a deal.
