hey people

My locost is now off the road for the cold months, and now need to do alot of fibra glass repairs to the bonnet which fly off when i was driving and repairs to the wheel wing guard that just rattle apart.
I have been looking around on the net a load of different repair kit that i could get but before i spent money and timew jusat fort i woould ask you guys what you would recommend??

I'd recommend getting onto the CSF website and looking at the projects pages there, they give quite a few useful hints and tips re working with fibre glass.

For most jobs you'll want some woven mat, some resin + catalyst and (if you need to repair the top coat) some flowcoat + gelcoat pigment to match your gelcoat.

And lots of gloves and some stirers (I use tongue depressors cos I can get them cheapo!!).

one thing i would recomend is have a play with it first on nothing important.
nothing beats hands on practice/experiance

Don't buy from Halfords - this is an expensive way of doing things. The Locost option is to visit your local boat builders/industrial moulders, and see if they will do you a deal.
