Wait until the first lot of standard tractors has passed, to see something that is frankly terrifying. The consequences of it hitting a car just don't bear thinking about.

It does sound good though.

I'm not sure it's the most dangerous thing I've seen! Personally I think it sounds like it's not running quite right ? a slight misfire. Of course the real problem is two of the required numbers of cylinders have fallen off

Put it this way, I'm glad I wasn't using that stretch of road at the time.

Have you ever driven an old tractor on the road? Even at 20mph they can be quite challenging with the steering wheel having only a vague influence on the direction of travel at any given time. Then there's the brakes which are drums on rear wheels only, and on many old tractors were barely up to doing 20mph on a public road. And no suspension at all, other than squashy tyres that are surely not rated for the speed he is doing.


I have a feeling the old V6 boat anchors had rev-limiting rotor arms in the distributors, and it does sound like he's hitting some kind of limiter. That said I can't think of a more natural application for this engine than to power an agricultural vehicle.

I certainly wouldn't want to be coming in the opposite direction but mainly cos I'd have to stop and help when he lost control and rolled it on top of himself......
