hey guys,

the firm I work for produce motorsport dvd's, and I manage our youtube channel and edit some of the trailers up for it. I thought you might appreciate this clip of the main man, Gerry Marshal, as he attacks Oulton park in style...the commentary from him is epic!

Is that a Chuvette he's driving. Never seen one go that fast before.

Nope, it's a "droop snoot" Firenza

ETA - Well, based on one anyway

Droop snoop Firenza was the Cosworth of it's day, very desirable, a lot of money, dog leg 5 speed ZF box, a homologation special.
My cousin had one, had to get rid of it sharpish as he racked up loads of points in a matter of months

Did points exist back then?? I thought points were introduced in 1988.

No, "Old Nail" and "Baby Bertha" were the Firenzas. "Big Bertha" was a Ventora with a Holden 5.0 V8 built for Super Saloons. It could be "Baby Bertha" in the video (based on a shortened Ventora chassis with the 5.0 V8 but built into a Firenza silhoutte).

God, I'm old!!
