could any garage type people tell what the quoted time is to replace the turbo on a 1.9cdti 150bhp 57 plate vectra

Not sure on the turbo time, but check the number 3 injector connector and the two vacuum hoses at the front right of the engine whilst you're at it.



Leaks in these hoses can affect the operation of the turbo...

My Autodata quotes 3.30 hours to renew. I would add another 1/2 hour on top of that.

changed mine in 3 hours. what mileage has it done? mine went at 85k.

i had my oil changed by a local garage and for what ever reason it lost all its oil on the way home and now my turbo is making this noise

That whooshing noise is what my vectra c makes it has from day one of its life

i know the turbo is quite loud on the 150 1.9 but its since the oil probs its been very loud.

Do you have any smoke from the exhaust when you put your foot down ? or lift off

only the usual amount of smoke....

Then i would not worry
has the spanner light come on ? how dose it drive now/ dose it pull like it did before the oil change
