Hi, just rebuilt my 1999 Suzuki TS50X 2 Stroke motorbike and the revs are are a bit slow to pick up initially then it really whizzs
also when the throttle is blipped the revs dont immediately settle to idle they sort of sit at 2500 for a second or two then come down to 1500 as per
the manual
any ideas
I already know there is no crud in the float bowl(s) or a split in the carb rubber, and the float does not have a hole in it( ie flooded float ).
Also the jets are not blocked.
Thanks in advance for any ideas at all
TJ
Sticking throttle?
as above check free movement of cable and throttle twist grip, if ok how about checking idle misture screw ifit has one adjust in and out a bit to find the fastest smoothest tick over
air screw needs to be very close to be 1.5 turns out (the screw on the right) the one to the left is the idle screw. has it got an after market air
filter without been rejetted?
Does the needle assy slide smoothly in the barrel? big spring inside cap and needle assy been messed about with.I do have a spare carb here if
needed.
cheers R
