BBC1 tonight, 7.30pm everyone's favourite motorbike racer and tea drinker extraordinaire is featured in a new 6 part series about renovating a
narrowboat using old techniques

19:30 –19:57 The Boat That Guy Built
A Cup of Tea
1/6. Guy builds his own 18th century blast furnace to cast an iron pot so he can boil water.
The man is a tea drinking legend, so looks like tonights episode, called 'A cup of tea' will see him doing what he does best... getting a
brew on.
Filming started last year, but had to be put on hold for a few months as he had a mountain bike accident and knocked all his front teeth out.
Well, I have never heard of this bloke.
BUT, if it involves messing around with stuff and drinking tea (Yorkshire Tea) I shall be watching.
About time there was something decent on TV!
Mkiii we have " Rolf Harris on Welsh Art". Say no more
Worry not, you get to see it later in the week...
Fri 4 Mar 2011 19:30BBC One (Scotland, Wales only).

i heard
the filming was stopped because he fell getting off the boat
smacked his face on the jetty and damaged his teeth
bbc hope he will be the next fred dibnah
top bloke
He is also a loon on a superbike watch him on you tube at the isle of man tt!!!
I saw him on a programme on the TT last year,
he is a real looney, but so addictive, i can also see why he could relplace Fred Dibnah
and his tea drinking !! i thought i was bad, (had 3 already, and onlygot up at 1045, as on nights)
Ive sky plusssd it
I am supprised how many people dont know Guy Martin!
This man IS the IOM TT legend. He had a crash last year (I think) that most humans would not of survived. Ball of flames over the hill towards the
camera with arms and legs everywhere, thats Guy Martin!
He is the only man that I know that goes round the IOM and into a corner at about 130mph while tucking his knee up away from an inside kerb while
ducking so he dont scrape his head on a stone built wall. He finishes off the corner with a wheelie and getting air while still leaning!!!
Fruitcake!

This would'nt be the bloke who went down the west side of Africa on a bike would it? Can't remember the name but I was looking for things to
read in my dinner hour at work & saw it on Amazon & he very much into his tea drinking. The review were fairly mixed & I'd found a
few books already to buy so I passed on it for now.
I've seen the trailer for this series about the boat & thought it looked good!
After reading this its made me go put the kettle on!
for those that live outside of the shire and can't wait

i'd seen the ads, and didn't think too much about it, but after reading up on here, found the bbc london channel on sky and recorded it, just finished, absolutely brilliant series link will be set i think! for bbc london, not bbc scotland sh!te, i mean 'scotlands clans' at 7.30 tonite, come on....
By 'eck I enjoyed that.

I knew i'd seen him somewhere
Nope, thats not Guy Martin, thats Wolverine. You can tell the difference as Guy Martin has tea spoons sticking out of his knuckles
better than yorkshire tea!
it was awesome!
that's two things that are worth watching on telly now,...

Start brewing the tea.
Guy Martin is on again tonight.
Can't believe how many people that don't know who he is think he is a brilliant presenter. I think we are going to see a lot more of him
(with mug in hand) on TV
My 10 year old lad and I watched last weeks and really enjoyed it.
We'll be watching again tonight.
strikes me as a really canny lad, and reminds me of a young Fred Dibnah.
He comes over really well on TV
Was listening to the radio earlier and they had a few clips from the show and I thought it sounded like Guy Martin, checked the sky guide and it was!
Got the next one set up to record and watched the first one on iplayer.
I love those great british engineering type programs and to have someone like Guy presenting is brilliant. Have been a massive fan after seeing him at
the TT a few years ago now. Unfortunately he has never raced in Macau the same year as us as I would love to have invited him up for a proper brew
with our imported yorkshire water!
