Left over bits - Xflow
Richard Jenkins - 3/4/04 at 05:18 PM

Hi,

I'm rebuilding my 1300 Xflow and in the bottom end gasket set, in the same plastic bag as the sump end seals, were an O ring and a plastic washer. I couldn't see anything in the Haynes book about them, so in time honoured tradition I ignored them

Anyone know if this was a bad idea and I'm now looking at taking the sump back off to fit these mystery bits?

cheers
RJ

Plastic washer may be sump plug sealing washer. as for 'o' ring could it be for the oil pick up pipe to block seal ?? hope this is of help. Rusty

The o-ring is probably for the dizzy stem.

O ring is for dizzy (ta Tblue).

Don't think the washer is for sump plug tho', should be copper I think.

Washer could be either blck or white... for sump. Have seen plastic and steel.... hey its a xflow... built to last
