diff weight ?
Does anybody know exactly how much a 7 1/2" lsd (sierra cosworth 2wd ) diff weighs ? I'm trying to sort out carriage but need the weight.

i'd say it was way more than 10, my miata diff is 50lbs i think

Lots. When I was installing mine I lay under the car with my knees bent and supported the weight of the diff on my knees whilst trying to put the
bolts in. It wasn't easy and my lower limbs were pretty strong at that stage after years of rowing. Unfortunately since then I've stopped
rowing and now it's my pint arm that does the work-outs!!!
I think the 25kg figure above is about right....

The freelander diff is considered "light" and that's 17kg....

Thanks for the response guys.I've got a 7 1/2" open Granny diff thats 28KG and just need to know how much more the slipper is. It seems
that if it goes over 31kg the cost escalates.

My 7.5 lsd sierra diff was 28.5kgs without the lobros I think
