steering rack
i want to use an escort rack does anyone know what track rod ends will fit the rack and sierra uprights??
when you start this journey
you think it will be done in " no " time but then " no " turns into a " bloody " long time

Not rod ends!!
after much diliberation with my local motor factor, we found out that they are transit draftlinks, from around 1986 if you use cortina uprights

Draftlinks? I think you mean drag links and they are for the top wishbone not the trackrods, and that would also depend on what thread you have used
on your wishbone M18=transit dragling, M20=transit trackrod end (easier to come by).
Escort mk1's have a different thread to mk2's and i have a feeling (but don't quote me on this) that the sierra is different again
(m14?)
Take your upright and rack along to your local motor factors and i am sure they can sort you out a match.
Hope this helps.
Tim.
