can anyone confirm the rear track of a mk2 escort i believe it is 52.5 inches

my mk1 axle, which i think is the same is 53.5 end to end. There was a topic on track recently, but i believe this varies with choice of wheel.

Escort 1 & 2 and Cortina 1 & 2 48 inches across the axle tube ie the flanges the brake back plates bolt to add another 5 inches for the
brakes -- 53 inches..
