Fitting Bushes
What is the best way to fit isolastic bushes? I am guessing a good vice and keen eye?
I assume it is not wise to use any sort of lubricant aid to fit them (wouldn't do a lot for the ability to grip the bush tube!)
Any input guys?

in poly bushes you use synthetic grease from the push bike shop! for rubber isolastic bushes you could use fairy liquid and wash it of afterwards!

I did all mine by hand.
Insert poly bits, press steel tube in by hand, then press down on the bench (by hand).
At this time of year, warming the poly bits in a bowl of water can make them more pliable.
I did use a bit of wood to stop pressing directly on my hands.
Its really not that hard, unless you have undersized wishbone tubes.
Shouldnt be a problem. 1000 times easier than inserting (or even removing) metalastic bushes. I would never go back to them on any car I had.
(My 110 Landy got polybushed by me as well)

I'm using the metalastic because I don't intend to use the car on the track so wanted as much of a comfortable ride as possible as we live
in a rather 'unkept' area when it comes to roads!
Too harsh a ride would probably shake me and the car to bits
I know they don't laast a particularly long time, but I won't be doing galactic miles so it won't be an issue.

don't use fair liquid ...... it rots the rubber. Go to halfords and buy the yellow can of rubber and nylon lubricant. Its excellent and designed
for the job.
Word of warning - dont get it on the bottom of your shoes or on the laminate floor ...... as i said, the lubricant is excellent
