hand brake cable ends
can these be used for the nipples on the end? or do they have to be soldered on?
i mean on the lever end if it makes any difference...

There only made of brass so cant see that they will be strong enough. As soon as you try to nip them up the screw will shear off. May work if soldered
but being brass it will wear quicker where it rubs against the steel lever.

Next time you see an aa or rac patrol ask them as they have a box full of cable ends/forks that have clevis ends and grub screws. Thats what i did!

oooh handy. might have to break down again so i can ask
thanks for the ideas guys. going to get a sierra cable, but will need new ends on it for my rover lever i think

The other thing is to go to a boat chandlers, they usually have a selection of cable ends that they can attach onto cables....
