front wheel alignment
i put a small amount of toe in, they have max. positive caster and some positive camber. when driving though, the car feels really unsafe and skittish
like the front wheels are pulling the car from side to side. any ideas? ive not had many dealings with this, but from what ive read it shouldnt be
giving these results.
cheers.

Try some negative camber maybe 1/2 to 1 degree? to start with . Don't forget to reset the tracking as any camber change will alter it.

Indeed a little negative camber, ie the wheels splaying out at the bottom from the chassis.
Max caster, how are you adjusting this and is it even both sides, looking in your archive it appears to be fixed, twiddling the mushrooms does not
affect this.

Twiddling the mushrooms affects the king pin inclination which sounds great but just make sure both sides are the same relatively.
Get a plumb line and check that the centre of the top ball joint on the upright is around 15mm behind the centre of the lower ball joint, this will
provide the correct amount of caster.
Usually you can do this with packing washers, either push the whole lower wishbone as far forward as possible of the rear back. If there is no
adjustment available then new wishbones required.

just went for a wee(ish) drive, the bad skittery feelings gone now, although she gets a bit twitchy and seems to sway a wee bit at high speeds...could
this be cause the front suspensions too hard?
