residual presure valve needed?
my pedalbox is floor mounted so my MC and resivour is very low (about the same, maybe less than calipers) and it takes two pressed of the brake pedal
to get decent stoping force.
Im using a Sierra MC & disks all round should i be looking at a residual valve or is there something else i should be looking at?

Have never had a problem with my set up on my MK. Im using a full sierra system too.
Maybe just give the system another proper bleed through, I think when I did mine I have to take the rear calipers off because the bleed nipple was
underneath. Cant remember now though as it was a long time ago. If you do just make sure you put something in between the pistons!

If you need a residual valve Wilwood sell them, just splice into line between master and first brake, anywere convenient.

Non standard calipers ? ---- then the calipers aren't mounted square to the disc.
Calipers have to mounted so the brake pad is presented absolutely square to the disc .
Clamp a dial gauge with the stylus touching the disc and measure the deflection when you pump the pedal it should be very close to zero.
If you don't have dial gauge just get an assistant to pump the pedal on and completely off while hold your hand touching both the disc and
caliper if you can feel even the slightest movement you have a problem with the aligment of the calipers to the disc.
Residual pressure valves are really for drum brake system they are desinged to keep the wheel cylinder seals expanded to prevent fluid weeping when
the vehicle is parked.

The brake system Sierra and most modern tintops have a hidden advantage the floating caliper set up makes the system much more tolerant both of of
disc to caliper alignment and disc run out.
