Wheel offset!!

How much is the handling affected by offset??

Ive got a IRS locost chassis and wishbones with sierra running gear and currently its sat on laser alloys i think ET19 as opposed to the 38 for sierra. They do stick out abit.

Cheers

wider tends to be better, at least you don't need spacers...

you could use sticky back foam instead of wing piping to push the wings out a bit or just buy some wider wings and the sell the original ones on here. I did a how to on widening grp wings a while back

From my experience of FWD cars, having the wrong offset can wreck the handling.

Large offset tyres on the front can compromise the handling by increasing the scrub radius (the distance between the KPI line and the centreline of the wheel). Some scrub is good as zero scrub can make the car feel strange, but too much scrub is also bad.

If disfunction is a function, then I must be some kind of genius.

Unless its a very unusual design I expect he'll still be wanting to steer with the front wheels!
