Squeaky Poly Bushes

I've just finished and got my MK on the road and the poly bushes are really squeaky, whats the best way to stop them, i didn't want to just grease them in case the grease damages the bushes.....silicon grease maybe?

Copper grease has granules of copper in it, bit like copper coloured grinding paste.
Make sure the polybush hasn't been nipped up by the mounting bracket.

Copper grease for me too. Though apparantly the copper might cause the polybush to wear down after hundreds of thousands of miles No squeeking in my car, just squeeling....

I thought Moly grease was the lube of choice for bushes?

Copper grease is an anti-seize compound, not a lubricant. Use it on the bolt shanks to prevent them rusting into the crush tube by all means.

Polyurethane can degrade with prolonged contact with petroleum based greases, which is why silicone grease is the recommended lubricant.

Personally I think polybushes are greatly over-rated, they rarely seem to last as long as manufacturers claim and very commonly suffer from lubrication/squeaking issues.

I'd squeak , vaseline or not! Might be worth checking the crush tube /polybush length? Do a search for crush tubes.
