Mr Hendersons solution to tight steering column
Just taken a couple of short videos before and after mr hendersons modifications, I was amazed at the difference

Sorry Tony I've watched to videos but must abmit to being completely clueless as to what i'm looking for in the videos.
Is this change from changing your front wishbones? if so what's altered?
If not what changes have you made and what should i be seeing in the video?

with the triangular link disconnected in the before video you will notice the wheel doesn't move.. after fitting the replacement bearing in the
after video the wheel returns on it's own.

Yeh I bought one of them bearings and could not believe the differance it made to just turning the column.

Nice to be given the credit for this modification, but I did in fact pick it up from the Robn Hood owners club forum. The link to the firm that sells
the bearings at such a good price is, though, all my own work.
I think they came up 2nd or 3rd on Google

these ones are only an extra couple of quid and look a bit more beefier than the ones in the original thread, but they do the same job.

Look pretty much the same to me, except the 4 hole mounting as opposed to the two of the type I suggested.
The ones I linked to are quite beefy enough, anyway, and I expect will outlast the rest of the car by a fair margin

I'll be dismantling that whole part of my car at some point to fit a twin master cylinder setup, so I think I'll throw in the one of those
bearing's while I'm there.
At the very least it'll be better than having the bloody plastic sierra thing pop out of place constantly.
