the one on the left goes anti clockwise, the one on the right clockwise. thats how i've done the grooved discs on my car so that when the
rotate, any crap gets thrown to the outside, rather than into the middle, like tyres with V treads.
so those discs, the left one goes on the left side of the car

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

This varies between disk manufacturers. Some suggest having the slots pointing in the the direction of rotation, others away from the direction of
rotation.

The normally accepted theory is that the discs should be fitted so that when brakeing in the normal direction of rotaion, the slots would tend to
throw the brake friction material out from the disc rather than into the centre of the disc. thereby keeping the disc and pad faces as clean as
possible and preventing a build up of (technically lubricating) brake dust towards the centre of the disc.
Brakes work by disipating heat through friction and you get the greatest temperature gradient change (and thereby braking effort) when you are
constantly heating up a fresh layer of brake compound (friction material/pad face) and transfering this heat to the heat disipating face/material
(brake disc/brake drum).
I hope this makes sense.
