Shortened Propshaft
I brought a propshaft on ebay last week after months of searching for a new one after my last one got nicked
Would it be ok to shorten it myself and then pay to get it balanced as i am on an ever decreasing budget?
Also where can i get the propshaft shortened/balanced and roughly at what cost?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Take no chances, get it done properly.
Try and save the money on something else.

Not much left to save on
Only major think left is the suspension which i nearly got on ebay the other day for £100 (before i was outbid last minute) went for £103

I see where you are comming from but I wouldnt like to see a prop let go.
Perhaps i am underestimating your welding.
Good Luck

I would rather get it done professionally but i dont know how much extra it will cost aswell as balancing. I dont want to pay £100 more just to get it
shortened.

B&M's Feltham branch trade as Propshaft Services. They have all the necessary eqpt. and when they did an oversize UJ for me last week were
more than reasonable and they turned it round in a couple of hours. Tel:- 02088442265.
Give them a call.
