brake resovoir, 2 pins?

I bought a brake resovoir from CBS a while ago (because i needed 3 outlets) buts its only got 2 electrical pins in the top. Now i thought it needed 3?

Looking at my old BMW resovoir that only had 2 pins aswell? SO is one with 2 pins enough for IVA and how will it need wiring up?

Thanks

Mikkel

There is a float switch in the cap that warns you when the fluid level is low. You only need 2 wires for a switch.

I seem to recall that the switch is made if there isn't enough fluid so the light is switched on. I'm not 100% sure though.

Although there are three pins in the sierra switch two are common so just pretend to be two pins. Wire switched 12v to dash warning light. Then two wires from the other side of the dash light, one to res switch, then earth. The other to handbrake switch, then to earth.

of course, no reason why not, as long as it works, 2 pin is fine

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
