wisbone bush tubes - problem
ive found an issue with the bottom wishbones i bought.
the two bushtubes arent parrallel, more on the one that the other.
when i put them against a straight edge there is about a 1mm gap between the tube and the straight edge on the inner edge of the tube.
will this cause problems? im thinking it may eat bushes.

I wouldn't be too concerned. The wishbone is bolted in place and clamped on the crush tube inserts. The wishbones pivot around the crush tube
and the PU bushes are quite flexible.

I wouldn;t be happy with it - you may wel be able to force them to fit using the compression of the bush, but that would result in stiction which will
effect the function of the wishbone.

It's not ideal but 1mm doesn't sound too bad to be honest.

should be no problem
Unless I’m mistaken the plans for the Haynes Roadster feature 12.5mm holes in the wishbone brackets, 12.5mm holes in the bush crush tube but uses a
12mm bolt I would have thought 1mm will be easily taken up within these clearances (if you car features similar clearances) without any sticktion or
forced misalignment

hmmm mixed responses.
i didnt know wether it would have any serious effects on the set up?
I just dont know wether to send them back and get them sorted or wether im just going to get a set exactly the same.

Hi
The sh#te that people stand for these days is untrue. 0.5 mm play in bolts on the suspension wishbone mounts that are out of alighnment. It's
like going back 30 years when the kitcar market was at it's worst.

It could be that when they were taken out of the jig they sprung closed a little.
When opened up to fit the brackets they may well return to parallel.

Haha! Love your response procomp! I agree with you to be honest, if I'm going to do this I should do it properly!
907 that sounds right actually, when I checked all the dimensions, the two bush tubes were 5mm closer together than all the diagrams I have.
Recon I could pull 5mm out of them though?
