remote brake reservoir suitable hose

Hi fitted a new master cylinder, made up some adapters that push fit into it and have got a remote reservoir (Daihatsu Hi Jet) and have temporarily fitted some fuel safe hose to join the two together

Is fuel spec hose OK to use for this purpose?

Don't want to trash the master cylinder prematurely! and now paranoid its going to do bad things despite it seeming like a really good idea at the time

Regards
Rob

Brake fluid creeps through all sorts of plastics. I got some hose from here. It's on as fuel hose but read the specs and they have stuff that is OK for low pressure brake fluid. Standard fuel hose is probably not OK.

The best way is to use OEM ones from a Fiat Seicento.

See this thread for part numbers.

Proper markings the IVA man can't argue with as they are OEM and they are unlikely to start leaking (as much of the stuff sold as reservoir hose does after a few months. Also dead cheap.

Assuming you are using DOT 4 or 5.1 (glycol based) you will need hose made from EPDM rubber, some water hoses are made from this, fuel hose is no good I'm afraid.
