Swap a Diff anybody??
Hi, I have a very good 3.62 open diff, it has been checked for the correct backlash, and is well within Fords spec. I am willing to swap this for a
knackered diff that has the bearing carriers in good condition, any ratio. I am overhauling a diff in which the bearing carriers have been mullered,
and while I could take the bearing carriers from the 3.62, it seems a bloody shame to ruin a perfectly good diff. If you want to pay the P & P on
both you could get a good diff for just the postage. I think that Parcels 2 Go will do it for about £8.50 ish, so for £17 ish you would get a good
diff. Anybody interested? If not I will have to break the 3.62, Cheers Ray

Is it a 7" diff or 7.5"? I have a good 3.92:1 7.5" diff which I'm looking to change for a 3.62 or lower ratio.
Cheers,
Craig.

A1 the 3.62 will give you less revs for the same speed, so a bit more economical. I would point out though that the one I have is NOT
LSD, it's an open diff.
Craig, it's a 7" sorry, although your bearing carriers will fit it.
