Help - any wishbone fabricators?

I'm in need of some special track control arms for my project. The idea is to lower the car, and restore the correct suspension geometry by inverting the bottom balljoint, which effectively lowers the outer wishbone pivot point relative to the inner. The bottom balljoint is one piece with the track control arm. I can't simply flip the arm over, as explained below.

What I need in effect is half a locost top wishbone (the rear half), with the usual Transit draglink joint in the adjustable internally threaded sleeve. The sleeve will have to be at an angle of about 15 degrees to horizontal, because the OEM balljoint axis is angled out at the bottom - the OEM arm is doglegged to achieve this, which is why I can't simply invert the whole arm. The radius rod (i.e. the front leg of the wishbone) bolts to the arm just inboard of the ball joint, this would need a simple thick plate bracket welded to the front of the arm.

I can supply a sketch and a standard track control arm for a pattern. There may well be a market for several sets of these (I have two modified cars myself that need them).

Would anyone here be interested in making a pair up for a goodly amount of beer vouchers?

Thanks,

Rachael

may be a bit too obvious but could you not just take the orginal arm to a blacksmiths and they'll heat the "dog leg" up and bend it the other way?

Thanks Mr Whippy, but no...

1) Heating the forging enough to bend it would set fire to the balljoint

2) The angle would mean that the arm would end up about 70 mm too short in its new configuration.

Cheers R

I agree warren is your man, he didn't offer locost top wish Bones or lower wishbones, but I asked him and he sorted out a battered lower wishbone and made up some top wishbones to suit. He also set the front end up for me and obviously knows his way round geometry.

Worth an ask.
