How easy is it to change CWP in an Atlas

I am considering changing the CWP in my atlas axle, never really played with gearboxes or diffs and wondered how hard it was to change them.

Hi,Ive done it and its not that difficult main thing is getting the preload correct on the pinion and the backlash must be right or itll either whine or wear out real quick
also your supposed t need a case spreader but i used a large g cramp to squeeze the case one way so it spread the other if you get what i mean
if your a competent mechanic or engineer give it a go
you need enough backlash so you can feel it dry but hardly notice it wet.
guess it depends on how much your cwp is worth hope this helps

I've done too. Not that hard but I did have to buy a bearing puller.
This link was posted when I asked and it helped me.

As mentioned above the hard bit is getting the backlash correct. I spent lots of time adding and removing shims in mine.
