how to check a rear caliper?
i have removed the rear calipers from my s2000 and already have a buyer for them. i just want to make sure they are ok before accepting any money for
them!
when i removed them they came away from discs easily (this was a couple of weeks ago). i went over to the garage tonight and now they dont fit over
the discs? the car had only done 25k and the brakes seemed very clean when removed! any way i can check if they are ok? cheers

Press or wind the piston in and check it moves freely (watch you don't get an eyeful of brake fluid!).
Apart from that, if there are no visible fluid leaks or split/damaged rubbers then it's a fair bet it'll be OK.
About 90% of calipers that come off bog standard cars look like a hunk of rust but they still function correctly!
