rear drive shaft nut size

Chaps,

Can anyone tell me the socket size needed to undo the nut on the end of the sierra drive shaft (wheel end) please?

Thanks, Mark

I bought a 41mm impact socket for the job - it might take some considerable force to do the job (i had a 2ft breaker bar and still needed 4ft of scaffold bar on that)!!

cheers, I measured it as 41mm but thought they would only sell 40 or 42mm, so guessed I would need imperial which comes out as 1 inch 5/8ths which seemed a funny size.

Are 41mm easy to get hold of?

I'm sure I got mine in Halfords.

I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

As said, its 41mm, I ground out a 40mm one which was cheaper/easier to get.

I think they're £10 in Halfords

I've used imperial and metric when I've had too!
