Batteries ?????

i would like to get one of those ultra slim batteries, as mine at the moment looks like it could power a tank!

what do people recommend and where can i get them from?

I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

I have been running a YTX12 on my GSXR1100 which was chosen because it is small and cheap.

The problem that I have (and you might run into a similar thing), is that with the Megasquirt, fuel pump, heated lambda sensor, and a pair of fans at the front, I am actually discharging the battery on a hot day at a low (900rpm) idle. This isn't a big deal, but with such a minimal battery I don't have much in reserve.

Given that you have a similar set-up I would not recommend going for the smallest battery that you can get!

Just a thought. It might be that your alternator is more enthusiastic than mine and you don't need to worry about this.

Matt

yesterday
- obviously they do all types of battery, a YTX12BS maintenance free Dynovolt would be £31.95 + P & P to you. Can't guarantee they'll always be the cheapest, but will always be competitive & decent quality items.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

If you enlarge the photo on this listing the battery is the Rally Design (RMD) battery.
