Vauxhall ball joint taper

Can anyone tell me if the press in lower ball joints as used in Vivas, Chevettes etc have a taper that is compatible with a Cortina upright. I`m still trying to suss such a ball joint following on from a post several months ago. Thanks, Steve.

Vauxhall ball joint

In the first version (Evo 1) of my locost i used Taunus(cortina) uprights with Kadett (Vauxhall Chevette) baljoints.
It was a perfect fit. There are 2 types of taper: 1.2l and 1.6/2.0(kadett). I dont know which i used. But if you want to be sure then i'll look it up!.
Greetings, Rob

Rob, Sounds like you`ve done what I`m contemplating doing. The details of the part you used including a part no. if possible would be a great help. Thanks, Steve.
