Car setup

Finally got round to fitting the new shocks over the weekend.

I'd now like to get the car set-up correctly. Although a trip to Procomp is probably best I'm not sure when I'd be able to make the long trip to Birmingham given my working schedule.

Can anyone recommend a good place near West Sussex that could help me get things setup properly?

Definitely racecardoctor if you want to stay local.

http://www.racecardoctor.co.uk

Based in Lewes (near Brighton), and not only will you get a good setup, he will also spend a lot of time explaining things and helping you with where to go next.

Racecardoctor has or is in the process of being wound up.

Gerald Dale has given me a reasonable quote so looks like I'll be heading down that way in a few weeks.

Somebody on here will surly have a very similar car to give you a bench mark starter. Or give your manufacturer a call. If you have a common engine and shock combo they should have data on it.

When I had a MAC 1 I gave them a call. The guy new the set up off the top of his head because they all weigh about the same and have the same shocks. Now thats experience!!

Oh Worzey good to hear your nocking around again!

My track day was an I opener. I spent all day skinning Mk2 Golfs any where that there was space to pass, and sometimes making my own space!!

Bi22le,

Glad you enjoyed the trackday. Lydden is great fun and ideal for a Striker.

Once I'm fully set up I'll try and get to either Lydden or Brands (or both) sometime in late June/July.

Dave
