Noise coming from Rear Axle

On long bends, left or right, I am getting a droning noise from what sounds like the rear axle, it stops after i straighten up.
Its a wide cortina axle, not touching anything that would cause and noise.

Any Ideas ?

Lew

Yes it sounds very much like a wheel bearing but check the propshaft or tyres aren't rubbing..

i had a noise coming from the back of mine on left handers and it was only under accelleration, i could coast or cruise round it and there was no noise.

It turned out that the rear prop joint was just feathering the transmission tunel, a half turn on the panhard rod rose joint sorted it out in seconds.

Nothing rubbing, but will try the panhard trick. if that doesnt work then i will wait until it gets louder and change the wheel bearings

thanks guys
