Does anyone know of a MacPherson strut which can be dismantled?
I'd like to convert to coil overs but the struts fitted to my car are not designed to be taken to pieces and I need to do this to grind off the
original spring seat and weld on the adjustable seat.
If anyone knows of a suitable strut I'd be very pleased to hear from them. Thank you.

Iv taken a citroen saxo strut to bits.
I think most can be taken apart. Which ones do you have?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I'm using AE101 Corolla struts in the back of my midi. They have a threaded top nut and come apart pretty easily. Some pics in the Jul 2008
entries on my build log here.

Many thanks Dominic, just what I was looking for. Your project looks very impressive and professional, do hope it is still going well.
