Rally Design steering rack mounts

anyone had any problems with them when fitting to an escort mk 2 rack? mine seem too small

mine are plenty big enough.

Did you get around to measuring the bits of rubber for me ?

Is it these that you mean you are finding it hard to compress ?`

forgot all about it warren sorry mate, will do it tonight when i get home,

no the problem i have is they wont go over the rack body, or specifically the one at the pinion end wont.

ive had that many problems with my steering setup im starting to think i have the wrong type of rack

Are they the ally ones? If so then yes, mine were incredibly tight. I had to take any excess paint off the rack where the mount goes and just fettle things a bit.

I had the same problem, very tight and required my car building skills to get them to fit!

I had problems with the mount at the pinion end.

The housing isn't flat sided like the original racks, and needed flattening a bit with a file, and the transition from the flats to the rounded top needed rerounding as well, then the mounts dropped over with no probs.
