bleeding rear breaks problem
I`ve got a set of rear vented calipers from a ford scorpio cosworth and have had a big problem trying to bleed them, my neighbour(a mechanic) even
came round with one of those bleeders that work of a compressor and suck the fluid out, and still no luck, i`ve got the bleed nipple on the bottom and
my neighbour thinks that might be the problem, does the bleed nipple need to be at the top?

Yes, that's the problem. Take the caliper off, position it with the bleed nipple uppermost and it should bleed properly.

In answer to your question.....yes it does.
Take the caliper off and invert it on the flexi when bleeding.

Yes!
Either swap them over. ie r/side l/side or you take them off to bleed, turning them up the right way with a block of wood or similar between the pads.
Then don't forget to refit.
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

brakes
as you are going to bleed them anyway you may as well swap them left to right now. its only undoing the flexis and then 4 bolts.

the only reson i fitted them that way round was for an easier fitment of the handbrake cable!

Many people fit them upside down for the same reason - I did the same with my old Sierra calipers.
As already mentioned, simply whip them off and get the nipples on top and bleed them again.
