real dopey question on wilwood brakes

when fitting them into the bulkhead/pedal box/wherever you chose to put them, should the big hole in the middle of the panel be a tight fit round the rubber bellow of the cylinder?

not very well explained, but all 3 of my cyliders are VERY tight fit, and one of them actually ripped the sort of elastic rubber band that hold it all together.

is there something i'm missing in fitting these?

Good tight fit will keep the water and exhaust fumes out of the footwell. They should be snug, a little dremmel work if too tight.

I had this as well, but was told to remove the bit that's like a very wide rubber band that was making the fit too tight - in fact I think only two of my cylinders had that anyway, the third came wtgout it

ah, should mention that my cylinders sit behind the pedals, so don't go outside the cabin

but rodgling, you say you were told to remove it? i was going to try and fit the band again after installing the pedals, but the space is too tight
completely removed may be the way then

thanks

Yup, that's what I did. A bit too much on the clutch actually, but there is *just* about enough left to all be OK.
