How to test calipers?
Hi all
Got some front sierra calipers for my project in the post yesterday.
Are there any ways of testing to see if the piston is moving freely without having them connected to the brakes system?
cheers
As long as its fast.... i don't care

Plug 'em into a compressor ?
I've tried it in the past for crusty ones, even if they don't pop out, it makes it easier to lever them out

if you don't want them to pop out - put some wood between them about the size a disk should be.

i just use a g-clamp and see if it can move the piston, just remember the brake fluid will destroy your jeans lol i done it with new 501s i wiped my
hands on them after playing with a caliper and the mrs went mad.
