A mod I have seen is a breather pot using a break fluid resovour so any ejected oil from the breather goes in to the pot and drains back when you are " less spirited"

I eat to survive
I drink to forget
I breath to pi55 my ex wife off (and now my ex partner)

I've always used Comma GL5 LS80w/90 lsd gear oil (top spec, as used by Caterham).
£4.50- £5 ltr from my local motorfactors.
Not £10 from Halfords!
