Will any wheel manufacturers make whatever offset you need
I know the easiest thing to do would be to ring them, but its difficult while im at work through the day. I need to know how i can get a 15"
wheel, 8" wide and with around 60mm offset. Id also like 15x6 in the same wheel, wouldnt have to have as much offset. I cant find many
manufacurers who actually do a 6" and an 8" wide wheel in 15"dia, apart from minilites. But i cant find any for sale with enough
offset. Only reason im trying to get this is to copy the caterham set up of 6" fronts and 8" rears, but i need 15's to go over my
brakes and such an offset so they dont stick out at the back. Thanks

Go modular. Get your centre and then inner / outer rim to suit.
Image have a good range!

Hi
Compomotive will do specials for me if i give them enough lead time. But have no idea if they do a wheel to suit your dimensions or if the base
casting will allow that offset. Worth a call though as they are helpful.

As Matt says, Compomotive will, contact them direct. Have a look on their website first though as it shows their styles and what offset is
available.
Other than that, and for those offsets (negative or positive?) I would think you will need to be looking at split rims.

Just looking at compomotives now, found minilites on their website that fit the bill, but no prices. I can see im going to have to widen the rear
arches instead cause at that offset the minilites are nearly flat and look horrible or just not have the wide back tyres.
The image ones are nice thanks, but reeeeeeeally expensive!

Its positive offset ie to make the car narrower to keep the wheels inside the arches.
Flak monkey, was it you where i read about fitting the wider rear wheels recently? Has it been worthwhile handling wise?

Yep, I went from 195 tyres all round on 6.5 rims to 6" front rims with 185's and 8" rears with 205's and the difference was
incredible.
Brilliant handling, progressive in the bends when pushing hard and loads of straight line grip.

Thats good to hear, im struggling to bring myself to start widening the rear arches, is there any way of narrowing the width across the hubs at the
back easily? I have a drum set up at the mo, but when i put it back together it will be a lsd with bolt on shafts and discs. Im assuming this will
still be the same width wont it?

Yep it will be the same width.
I made spacers for my rear arches in the end.

Widen the arches, don't reduce the track! IMHO! Not the hardest of jobs as it goes!
