Brake disc dimension info

Following on from another brake related thread, I thought I might look at getting some solid discs to replace my vented ones. They are the 285mm dia Westfield vented jobbies bought from Rally design a few years ago. Standard (solid) Cortina discs are 247mm dia so I would need to change the caliper mounts too which adds to the cost of the change (discs are only £30 the pair though)

I remember from a while back, there was a link to a website that listed all of the different combinations of disc sizes, offsets, pcd etc etc and a number of discs are often interchangeable depending on their application. There is just a chance that there are some solid 285mm dia discs which I could use. RD list some but at £90 the pair + VAT

Does anyone know of a link to such info? Or (and this is a longshot) if anyone wants to swap their solid discs and caliper brackets I am all ears

Cheers,
Raz

Thats the kind of stuff Mal - ta muchly.

Incidentally I now know that my rear discs will fit a TVR Griffith & Chimaera

Unfortunately I can't find any solid 285mm discs as they all seem to be vented at that size

Do a check on the 406 coupe rear disc.

I think it is 290mmx10mm and 4x108mm PCD....

..or the Citroen C5 3.0l rear disc is 276mm x 14mm.

RAZ, my contact says that the Rally Design website might be wrong on that price. Thinks it should be half that. He'll check monday for you.

Aha - that would account for the prices appearing to be twice as much as most other suppliers. If their 'each' price is actually a 'pair' price then I will put them back on my Xmas card list

Sounds good to me Ben - do you happen to know if I need a seal kit when removing the Dynalite 2 caliper spacers for the thinner discs?
