MK Sierra front wing stays not fitting Haynes Roadster

I bought some on Saturday to use on the Haynes Roadster of mine. The MK ones are for Sierra uprights and standard callipers. and this is the set-up on the Haynes.

Fitted one and bent over the tops to find it fowls on the bottom suspension mount and Gaz shock. My steering has a lot of travel, standard escort rack and suspect others are sometimes restricted in this area?

I am going to fabricate my own again to get the car back on the road as soon as I can. So there could be some stays going at a reasonable price, for anyone that is local to collect.

Adrian

Just thought I would add a comment here reading the other thread. The fowling is I believe, due to the bracket position on the Haynes possibly being different to the MK. Not a quality issue.

Why do I have to make the tools to finish the job? More time then money.
