What size bore master cylinder?
I'm struggling for space on my plastic cars bulkhead. I've made a new floor mounted pedal box but this means mounting the brake M/C very
low down. The current M/C is a non servo Fiesta one but the plastic reservoir will be rather close to the exhaust manifold and the M/C needs to be at
a jaunty angle whereas the pedal box would mount it horizontal which would put the reservoir at the wrong angle of jaunt, if you see what I mean?
My options are:
1. to make a wedge shaped mount for the M/C so it sits level and make a heat sheild for the reservoir and top it up from under the wheel arch.
2. make an extension piece so the actuating rod travels through a tube and the M/C could be remotely mounted ahead of the engine above the steering
rack.
3. ditch the (almost new!) Fiesta M/C and fit a new non-integral M/C.
This car is for the PPC £999 challenge so the budget is very tight. Buying two M/Cs and making the brakes biased isn't an option (unless someone
has some very cheap bits?!)
If I buy one M/C, what size do I need? Currently running an Atlas rear with standard drums and Escort discs (M16?) up front. Hopefully upgrading to
Mondeo calipers and Diahatsu Applause reas calipers in the future!
Cheers guys.

VW Golf master cylinders reservoirs sit horizontally and fit some Ford master cylinders.

Don't some Fiats use a plastic insert in the reservoir ports connected to a remote reservoir via a flexible hose? They may fit the Fiesta master
cylinder? IIRC someone once posted on here about them

I made some little alloy spigotty doofers that were for someone on here who wanted to remotely mount the reservoir but I'm looking at all the
options!

the spares box.

On my current project I have limited space in the engine bay so I am using an MGB pedal assembly. This mounts the master cylinder above the pedals
instead of in front. I paid £10 of ebay and am using the fiat 124 master cylinder £16 new, small mod to reposition the mounting holes make a pushrod
job done.
