Bent steering rod
Following my recent post, I have bent the steering rod on my modified Sierra steering rack. I have got a spare standard rack can you remove the arm
from the rack by undoing the bullet shape joint, alternately, or if I get a local engineering company to warm it up and straighten it will it be safe
to use?

QH list them as QR2135S --- surprisingly cheap BuypartsBy or try local motor factor can order one for you if they don't have one in
stock. special order QH parts usually don't take long to arrive.

I wouldn’t try straightening it either as you will change any heat treatment it has been given, best to just swap it for the good one. Not difficult
to do, there may be a pin on the cap that you have to drill out but you’ll soon see how it fitted.
