Rose Joints

Hi, What size rose joints have people used for their suspension? I am considering going rose jointed, so am wondering how meaty the joints need to be. Would
3/8 x 7/16 or 10mm/10mm (bore/thread)be up to the job if used to secure the wishbones to the chassis?

Cheers, Scott.

size is not the only consideration - look at the specification - you can get a 3/8 SRE that will be rated at 3000lbs or one rated at 9900lbs - difference is cost.

see Nick for advice / bargain joints

The ones I use are 5/8" rated at 5500 lbs, they were made to be used on circle dirt track cars.

I used 1/2"x1/2" which I think were rated at around 7000lbs for my trailing arms. I will use stronger ones (still 1/2"x1/2" though) for my panhard rod due to the fact that a breakage of the panhard rod will be more of a safety concern than a breakage of a single trailing arm.

Also, get a right hand thread for one end and a left hand thread for the other. That way you can loosen the locknuts and simpl turn the bar to change the length.

Rally Design have a good selection of rod ends, mainly from National.
Cheers,
Craig.
